reasons to have a baby #928, 929...940..

how adorable are these?

I am truly in love with these sexy, little footsies.
Hot pink is also now available in the 3 layer fringe. MMM. To my disappointment, they are only available in children's sizes. Looks like I'll have to do some research and figure out the conversion of a woman's size 5 1/2 -
Because, they are simply a must-have. I have a couple of pairs of Minnetonka Moccs and I have pretty much exhausted one, for a second time, as I have already replaced them once. Everyone has a vice. Drugs, alcohol...mine's shoes. I really don't have a ton of shoes, but I have a few amazing pairs that I pretty much wear down to the skeletons (if that makes sense). Seriously..check them out. So FUN! For all  you mamas out there....They also have an infant pair of hot pink moccs....hmmm, maybe in a few years. HA.

my stars are out of line. but only for a while.

Seriously....Is it January (and my birthday) yet? I'm not complaining. I'm not wishing away my youth. However, 22 has been a WEIRD year for myself. I use weird, because I'm not sure how exactly to feel about it. I have had a lot of very very good times...but a lot of life lessons were learned; the hard way. I'm not sure why, or if it has to do with the mirror I broke last year, or if I have had mostly good luck, so that's why the bad luck seems so consistent, but...weird, in general.
I'm pretty good at bucking up and learning quick, though. And, I know...it's life - but, for me, the stars haven't been quite aligned lately, and I feel like others can probably relate in some way, shape or form, as I have been hearing mentions of similar 'out of the ordinary' occurences taking place in their lives, as well. On a glass-half-full note, fall is in the air..usually I'm sort of depressed, because I'm such a summer baby. On the other hand, though, it's a bit refreshing as I was never really outdoors to enjoy the weather much anyway. Work, work, work. I wouldn't trade my job for the world. I am constantly reminding myself that the encounters and challenges that I am facing now may appear to be troublesome, however, they are truly blessings in disguise. Each situation alters the person that I am and I can tell that, as a person, I have changed quite a bit from the person I was a year ago and that will only continue. FATE is a strong word. I know what's meant to be will happen and run its course and as the wise Buddha once said, "The mind is everything. What you think, you become." In other words...Keep on truckin'.

25 years...

four children later and they are still going strong!
Today is a very special day for my parents who have officially made it 25 years together. JJB and I have just celebrated our 4 1/2 year anniversary, so it's pretty hard for me to even imagine. I knew, over a year ago, that us children would need to do something out of the ordinary for my ohso humble parents. So, next weekend, we will be celebrating hard! I knew, going into it that planning something for 100+ people wouldn't be easy; the venue, the date, invites, newspaper announcement, decorations, food, mini biff, keg, entertainment/music....woof. But I can say, with mostly assurance, that I am ready. I will take one day off (Friday) from work and cannot wait to see it all come together.

This experience has taught me that I'm a relatively calm planner, as I have mostly mastered the delegation card. Without everyone doing their part, there is no way it would go smoothly. Although, I'll tell you after the day just how successful our planning was. Until then, I'm gonna bust my little buns just a little bit more and then enjoy myself a WHOLE damn lot!
Happy SILVER Anniversary to the GREATEST couple I know~
Thank you for your lead in love and being a great example to follow.

Stereo Heart.

The other night, JJB and I were feeling a little antsy and decided to take a stroll down to Minnehaha Falls. This destination is one we frequent, often...it's a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city - it also reminds me a great deal of home. On this little adventure, we tried something a little different. Instead of the usual conversing back and forth, we decided to try ipods and ear buds for a bit. Turns out, it was simply fabulous.
One might assume that listening to personal music devices would detract from the togetherness of the situation. On the contrary, I discovered that this was a marvelous idea - JJB's might I add. Initially, I was a little taken aback by it. I then realized that effective communicaion does not merely involve spoken words. We were so much more in tune with eachother: holding hands and making eye contact, for starters, increased ten-fold. As our auditory perceptions were distracted, our other senses rose to a similar (much higher than usual) level. For all you non-believers, giive it a try!

CALLING ALL SINGLES!!!

A Private Search is Currently Underway!
An exciting opportunity is taking place for local singles, as we are conducting a Private Soulmate Search on behalf of four of our Elite Clients on Wednesday, September 14th and Thursday, September 15th.
Join Kai-len Love and Life Architects for an informal "meet and greet" where you will have the opportunity to get to know Kailen Rosenberg and her team. We look forward to meeting you and learning more about yourself to see if you might be a match for one of our fabulous clients. As always, this is NOT going to be a mixer where you are actually meeting our clients and it’s NOT a cattle call like you may have seen on “Millionaire Matchmaker.”
For Eligible Bachelorettes: We will be meeting at our Wayzata office (810 East Lake Street) on Wednesday, September 14th from 5-7 PM or by appointment at our firm. Champagne, small bites and gift bags for attendees, while supplies last!
